Hi. I am Amit. I completed my MBA in Petroleum Sector from PDPU in March 2009 and presently working with one of the oil PSUs. Can anyone help me which are the good books for GS (Pre/Mains), Public Admn (Pre and Mains) and Sociology (Mains). Postal coaching of which institute would be better for the above subjects? hi all,i m preparing 4 IAS & sociology is my 2nd opt sub...so how should i start my preparation apart from NCERT books 4 sociology???from which book should i start reading??& wht should b the strategy of reading this subject??can i complete the whole syllabus within 3 months or 4???kindly reply me.my 1st opt sub is pub.adm...so wht do u say about this combinition??howmuch time one should devote 4 preparing 4 both opt????should one complete any of the sub 1st then start other sub or one should start preparing 4 both opt simultaneously????

Hi, can anyone guide me about subjects for IAS preparation, i am a veterinarian. i am thinking about zoology.heard that Veterinary science is very broad to cover and no reference books are available,ple suggest if available!! what about Anthropology, public ed. but i also want to give IFS(forest services) where Anthro is not as a option... what to do ple suggest... since your from cs background there are no subjects to your engg in upsc exam ..... so i suggest u 2 get comfortable with math skills...and be sure abt ur gs knowledge .....apart from ths i mean 2 say tht better u consult wth coaching center near by ur city ....be prepare with ur optionals befre entry to coaching.....Best of lck
